Marla's training began at Pivot Point Academy and continued as she freelanced for major beauty and artistry driven cosmetic lines. She has also trained under celebrity makeup artists Laura Mercier, Patti Dubroff, and Ricky Wilson. She understands that to keep your skills sharp and remain current, you must live and breathe all that the beauty industry offers. She loves to brush up on her techniques with hands-on workshops and testing with the best photographers to understand lighting and composition. 

On her down time, Marla is most likely shopping for luxury beauty items to keep her kits stocked or in a book store collecting beauty books for her studio library. She studies fashion and trends through documentaries, magazines, reference books and working backstage at runway shows.
